The most memorable critical experience occurred early in my career; I was promoted to a management role with the responsibility of 200 team members at 22 years old. I learned very quickly, to be a leader of people is a great privilege with great responsibility; and as a first-time leader I made several mistakes in my journey. I was fortunate to have had a mentor who helped guide me through each opportunity as a lesson learned, as well as the courage to own my mistakes and present with solutions. This critical experience afforded me the opportunity to fail forward because with each failure, I grew as a leader. My most recent critical experience led me to Synchrony. I was with my previous employer for over 11 years. Over this tenure I applied my leadership, operations and sales experience to advance the team in exceeding business goals. I was also fortunate to mentor others in their development. Toward the latter part of my tenure, I had settled into a comfort zone of routine and predictability. And In my case, this meant I was no longer growing. I sought after new challenges in hopes to find new critical experiences, I found this with Synchrony. I made a commitment that I will never again allow myself to stop learning. Today I am part of a great team of honest and hardworking individuals who want success equally as much as I do. Everyone has a role to play and together we test and learn what it takes to elevate our commitments and goals.
Taking calculated risks. Being bold and putting myself in unfamiliar situations that challenge my thinking, expand my perspective, expose my vulnerabilities, where I can come out on the other end more mature and able through the journey. Not having all the answers – being open to learn from others. Unafraid to fail-forward. Being kind to my future self – realizing that the decisions I make today will have significant impact tomorrow.
What is unique about my role within CareCredit is we have opportunity to provide access to care and treatment for patients and pets in the Dental and Vet Market. We are part of the Provider Experience and journey from Enrollment to Development. I am excited to be a part of the CareCredit family because I have opportunity to strengthen the Inside Sales team’s footprint on our business. We’re working forward to attainable performance and sales goals for our Core team, with a responsibility to the business of $7B in net credit sales and 4M in applications for 2019.
I embrace all of Synchrony’s values as each have been represented throughout my personal and professional journey. The value that has most defined my career is driven. I am “all in” as it relates to realizing goals for myself and others. I am driven to succeed. I am driven to help others succeed. I am driven to help grow the business. I am driven to be a better leader and mentor. I am driven to be the best version of me.
